Thank you again everyone. Last night was very hard please continue to pray. I sat up until 4 this morning Crying. These meds that are being prescribed to her won’t really take full action for a month or two. But I heard my baby in her room crying that she was the worst kid ever and she needs to just die so she wouldn’t hurt anyone else. She had gotten into a fight with her sister. Please keep praying!! There is a place that specializes in at risk youth I’ll check into them next and see if that’s an option. #welcometomyjourneyclimbaboard

To everyone here on Vol nation I want to say thank you from the depths of my heart. I hardly ever post anything on here but I read almost all of them. The past three months has been the most trying time I have had to face as a man and a father. I moved to Mount Juliet from Ga about two years ago for a promotion at work. It was everything I had worked my butt off for. I had everything I wanted. Great Job a family three beautiful kids. I stayed in a hotel for the first year and the family was back home. Then the divorce happened, and kids were devastated. My 10 year old daughter moved here with me after I finally got my apartment. She has always been daddies girl. due to things that no child should have happen to them happening to her when she was at a sibling of my exs house. She took the divorce very hard and her PTSD kicked in. The Friday before Florida I heard my angel say something a child should not even No about. “Daddy I want to kill myself, will you be ok” but then a miracle happened. As we were at the hospital waiting for her to be evaluated. Our Vols beat Florida!! And I saw my angel return. So thank you everyone. It’s been a struggle emotionally physically and financially but with great support (reading material) from all of you it has been getting a little easier
Damn. Let us know if you need anything, we are very generous to our own.

There is a fund setup but it’s not going very far. I’m struggling with my emotional side of things and can’t stay focused. But I do appreciate everyone’s thoughts and prayers

Praying for you and your daughter. If its any consolation, my own daughter has struggled with PTSD and depression so I know the pain you are going through. My daughter was much older than yours but was helped by a Discover Mood and Anxiety program in Florida. I think they only serve 11-17 year olds however. But definitely check out the youth risk programs in your area. I'd also ask about youth counselors (child psychologists) who can take on new clients.

Thank you for the advice I could use all I can get. I have looked into quite a few places for at risk or troubled youth but like you said most are 13+ she has a therapist and a psychologist and she’s on 4 different medications don’t ask me to tell you what they are (long words I don’t get paid to pronounce lol) it’s just a battle that you can relate too. And it’s a good thing my insurance pays some or I’d be sinking faster than I am now… it gets tiring but it’s my baby so if I have to live in my pickup truck to make sure she is taken care of then I would

It sounds like you are doing all the right things. Our experience is that reassuring your daughter that she is loved, that things will get better, and that you will always be there for her, help a lot. Try not to be judgmental or angry if she lashes out at you or your ex. Also, take care of yourself as you are going through extremely stressful times. Lifting you and your family in prayer.
