Thanks for the memories Pons, Keon, Springer, Fulky and JJJ

I actually think he’ll eventually be a pretty good NBA player. Springer probably needs to come back , however he’s projected as a first round pick as well

I appreciate your knowledge of such things, I'm just a person that is old school and believes potential is just another way of saying, "hasn't done anything".

Take care!

Man damn i know sincerely i'm not the only UT fan that would love to see both of them come back along with Johnson n Springer who i don't believe are ready for the NBA but hey to each their own...

No doubt it would be great but Pons is 100% gone. Have to rely on some help from the portal to fill the void in the post for next season.

Just idiocy. If he's a top-10 player in the NCAA right now, I'm a legendary porn stud. I don't even understand pro sports anymore.

A great NBA player and great college player are way different. Grant was a way better college player than a ton of the Kentucky one and done players but struggles to hit double digits in the NBA.

I’ve seen two Freshman today that are better (Cunningham and Ivey ) and saw at least two that are better in the SEC. That is only freshman I am talking about. KJ could take another step with a better outside shot.

10 years ago, Keon and Springer wouldn't be ready yet . Now they are or the potential is good enough to lock down, I don't get it. But, if either one would come back and lead this team to what they could/should have been, this year, they will be Vols basketball legend, imo

JJJ has not improved in 3 years, could it be possible that Johnson and Springer won't improve and will be NBA draft misses?

They better leave now because they could be worse if they stay and become mired, like JJJ.

Hopefully Bailey and Vescovi improve their shooting. The three ball is so important in college basketball so those two must improve during off-season. Idk if Chandler is a good outside shooter.

I would like for our guards to hit 2 out of 6 every game for 33% and hovering around those numbers. Take Bailey on 2 game stretch go 1 out of 11 and then 4 out of 7 added up to or 27%., this basically guarantees you a loss every time the bottom % shooter shows up.
At one time we were behind by 15 and 2 of 12 from 3 and OSU was 7 of 15 from 3 for a 15 point differential.
the point total we were behind.
OSU 3PT%= 10 of 21 for 47%
UT 3PT%= 5 of 26 for 19% end of story
They got 30 points on 3's we got 15.... 30- 15 =15 ,....see a trend
When Vescovi & Bailey are good they're over 50%
When they're bad they are under 20 or worse = almost guaranteed loss, there's no happy median and
Springer and Keon are bad 3 PT shooters almost consistently, just the way it is.

First off, JJJ has only been here 2 years, not 3. Thru 8 games, or so, I would argue that he was our team MVP. He regressed from that point for some reason. He did get injured, but that was several games later, and he never returned to form after the injury. His lack of assertion and a killer instinct is palpable on the floor and his demeanor is much more that of a wallflower than a leader.

This year, his shot improved, his rebounding improved, his defense has always been solid, and he still needs to improve his handle and ability to finish at the rim.

If an NBA team wants to give you millions of dollars and draft you in the first round definitely take it. I don't think the game either Springer or Johnson have will work in the NBA right now. There is always someone that can stop those drives and shots in the paint. You need to have a perimeter game and neither seem to have much of one. Were not hurting at guard next season Bailey, James, and Vescovi all return and two top freshmen coming in gives us about the same there as we had this season. To have a team that can be top part of SEC were needing some post players and we need them badly. You don't want to go into next season with guys like Plavsic, Oke, Pember, and Anosike as your rotation that would be huge trouble. Hopefully there are some portal options or a freshman reclassifying. Otherwise we look to be very average .500 team next season. The other freshman who didn't play will he even be here? Weird he couldn't get a minute of playing time.

My point being that he was a 5* out of school and most were talking about him being one and done.

His development FOR A FIVE STAR PLAYER WITH POTENTIAL has been non-existent or he has regressed.

My second point is that Barnes does not develop his players above their normal progression (experience).

PG - Chandler / Vescovi
SG - Vescovi / Bailey Jr
SF - JJJ / Mashack
PF - NKamua/ Walker / Anosike
C - Fulk / Uros

Bubble team roster unless we make some major upgrades.
Well I highly doubt we stay put on the roster, but even with that crew I feel pretty good about dancing...but like I said they aren’t going to stay as is.

I think Vescovi will be a better 2 guard when Chandler runs point. JJJ is just too passive. Not sure he knows how good he could be

Vescovi - - Hell! he could be a better anything. Because he is not too good at anything right now. Just a fair to about average player.

If you don't think Keon's game isn't made for the NBA, then you don't watch much of it. His athleticism is elite and ball handling and shooting are two of the easier things to improve upon as a professional. His explosion is special and the pro folks will drool over his potential.

He’s got Russell Westbrook athleticism and fantastic defense. He’s gonna be perfectly fine
