Solid career for a class act. I appreciate his effort and dedication to the Power T. Hoping to see him play on Sunday
Joe wasn’t perfect but he gave it his all. And he gave us some of the most incredible long TD throws in Vol History. And an 81 yard TD scamper.
That is a totally fair post, not overdone, congrats.

Good luck to Milton as he chases an NFL career.

He looked good today and made some off balanced throws that he usually doesn’t make. Who knows what his future holds but that is certainly needed to expand his repertoire.

Classy and well deserved post. If I am correct, Joe is currently in the low 2800s in passing and could possibly throw for over 3000 this year. Had Mincey and Cade been healthy all year, I think he would have done that in the regular season.

Agreed. He seems like a good kid too. Played a great game yesterday to boot! I hope he’s able to go to a decent NFL team and plays well.

Isn't this the exact type of kid we want to be representing this program?

“I got mine out Friday at my throwing session here before we played on Saturday. Walking down the tunnel by myself Friday, I kind of started crying, but my coaches were in front of me so I had to show that I’m tough. But just playing inside this stadium one last time was amazing. I wish the guys that come up after us take it as seriously as us. We left a legacy here that there is only one way we play when we get inside that stadium and that’s hard. There’s only two things you can control and that’s your effort and your attitude, so once you get inside that stadium and you put those jerseys on I hope you have [that].”

I feel sorry for Joe., people dogged this guy so much this year and it was basically because he didn’t have the same effect Hooker had on the team. If you go look at his stats and compare them to other top QB’s they’re just as good or close to as good. I hope he plays in the bowl game, this guy has never embarrassed our great University in any way. Always positive on the sideline, encouraging other teammates etc.

Amen to this. Joe was a class act through think and thin. And, while he didn’t accomplish everything he wanted, he played some good football and gave his all for TN.

Gonna be a lot of people surprised on here come April.

Milton has his flaws and needs work but you can't teach that kind of arm talent.

And the NFL is starving for talent at the QB position. He won't go Day 1 but he goes mid rounds IMO.

Composed himself well after losing the job last season to Hooker and kept the blinders on to the criticism this year. He made some jaw-dropping throws and some jaw-dropping decisions at times but 8 wins is 8 wins in a tough season.

geez. This thread is just too much. He’s a good kid, but he is not a good QB. He should be thankful the way the dominoes fell in that hypo seems to be prioritizing culture over anything else at this juncture for not losing his job this year. He’s the one that should be giving out the thank you… And it should be directed at heupel for not giving anyone else a chance to play no matter how terrible he was at times. Milton is a good kid and worked hard for the opportunity but he just wasn’t good enough to play at this level.

He had all that last year. He was awful before he got hurt, just like he was awful this year.
He didnt play last year until Sc Vandy and the Orange Bowl. You sir are a hater. The three games the season before, Hyatt wasn't the same route runner and Tillman was beginning to play well. JM played well in his time last season for the most part. This team was just not good enough in areas to win at the clip of last years team. Stop being a hater
