everyone knows the Civil War was fought because someone said that the Big Ten and the Big East were better than the SEC

I've got a problem with the Pac-10 record. They don't have 1 victory against the SEC. So that record goes out the window. And this Cotton Bowl is a preview of the NC game.

Do you have a problem with the fact the SEC record doesn't have 1 victory against the Pac-10? :whistling:

Leach never would have fit in in Knoxville. That crazy pirate obsession of his just wouldn't have cut it.

You have to understand that people have been indoctrinated for YEARS that slavery was why the Civil War was fought.

Actually it was The War Against Northern Aggression. It was brought on by taxes and tariffs but let the uneducated have their erred belief. And screw PC. It's the damnation of this world.

Thanks. I was really just wanying a gold star on my paper. Never got one in school.

Ok, you get two gold stars. Bonus question for another star: Lincoln's Secretary of State broke the news to him that South Carolina had seceeded. What did Lincoln say when notified?

A. "I'll make them pay for that"!
B. "Sounds like something a bunch of redneck hicks would do".
C. "My God, what will we do for taxes"?

You could also say it was a matter of State's Rights vs Federalism. Which encompasses taxes and the right of States to decide the legality of slavery.

"any people anywhere, being inclined and having, the power, have the right to rise up,and shake off the existing government, and form a new one that suits them better. This is a most valuable,a most sacred right-a right which we hope and believe is to liberate the world. Nor is this right confined to cases in which the whole people of an existing government, may choose to exercise it. Any portion of such people that can,may revolutionize, and make their own,of so much territory as they inhabit." Abraham Lincoln 1848

Shouldn't have been that hard to come by at Sullivan Central.:)

I'm from Bristol. Did my lower education at Tn High. Couldn't get out of that home owned and operated place fast enough. I mean Bristol not the clique operated BTHS.:good!:

I think one thing that's being overlooked with Ole Miss' huge win and their dominant performances to end the season is something much bigger than just Ole Miss representing the SEC well. Rather, all of the players contributing on that team were recruited to Ole Miss by Orgeron, which bodes well for us. The Ole Miss defensive line is flat out dominant with 2 probable 1st round picks in Hardy and Jerry. We haven't seen that kind of talent on the D-line at UT since Haynesworth/Henderson. I can't wait until a year from this February. I fully expect a Top 10 class.
