Also, do you think that slavery and colonialism have had anything to do with the manner in which sub-saharan Africa has developed/failed to develop?

This is something I've never thought about, but it is interesting....the cities known to have a large black population don't have a very good track record....New Orleans....Detroit.....Washington....Memphis

Most of these cities' residents do not make as much money as their counterparts in other towns do. These towns also have higher poverty rates than the national average.
