Our church doesn't have a frier, but if I had a dollar for every time someone had to go by and check the coffee pot because we couldn't remember if someone turned it off...and no one did.

Growing up and being forced to go to lutheran/methodist church we always had big kitchens but they were never used. Coffee pots? Yes. Cold cut sandwiches? Yes. Kool-Aid (non Jim Jones flavor)? Yes.

My grandmothers church had a massive kitchen but because it was all stainless steel the old ladies refused to use it because of cleanup..

Only church burning I knew of was arson..church that survived Robert E. Lee's torching on the way to Gettysburg. Some punk ass kids torched it in the 90's.

I had to go to St Croix to work for three days. Went to locally owned hardware store. Had to wait until all the black customers were served, even though they came in after I did, before the rude owner waited on me.
