“Whiteness remains to be the biggest threat to our survival and continues to permeate every single facet of our lives, from the institutions we must navigate to interactions with our white counterparts. I am dealing with whiteness every time I leave the comfort of home,” he wrote in the essay.
“I’m in defense mode all the time and it’s exhausting. The result is extended periods of time where I am filled with nothing but rage, where it feels like I am always on the brink of crying, where I feel so vulnerable that I cannot handle seeing people who do not look like me, where even spending time with the white people that I call my friends induces racial anxiety.”

I have followed the Red Sox for 60 years, and watched them on TV when possible, and gone to their Spring Training in Fort Myers . Since Jackie Bradley, David Price and a couple others decided not to visit the White House, I am done with baseball. I haven't seen them once this year. F*****g overpaid spoiled babies. I will file baseball next to the NFL which I quit a few years ago.Agree. The Yankees and Flyers ought to have their asses kicked 8 ways to Sunday for this. How stupid.

I got to see Ted Williams play in 3 games at the start of the 1960 season, which was his last. I even have a picture of my Little League team, and the Manager had all of us in Baltimore Oriole caps. I am the only one to have on a Red Sox cap in the team picture. He let me get by with doing that. I have lived through all the agonizing disappointments over the years, until fairly recently. It is sad that people can't have separation of sports and politics. I wish that Presidents would not invite any sports teams to the White House.Right there with ya. Lifelong Bosox fan. Grew up idolizing Yaz, Fisk, Rice, Boggs, etc...
That same event did it for me, as well..

Unbelievable, this is sickening the Philadelphia Flyers not only will no longer play Kate Smith's version of "God Bless America" but they have removed the Kate Smith statue from in front of the arena! Kate Smith's 112th Birthday would be next Wednesday May 1st.
Once again liberalism is a sick disease.
Review your work.........just sayin.Joy Reid’s Hacker Struck One Year Ago Today and the FBI Has Done Nothing, SMH
One year ago today, MSNBC host Joy Reid revealed that she was the victim of a malicious hacker who planted fake homophobic, Islamaphobic, and fat-shaming posts on her blog.
"In December I learned that an unknown, external party accessed and manipulated material from my now-defunct blog, The Reid Report, to include offensive and hateful references that are fabricated and run counter to my personal beliefs and ideology," she told Mediaite.
"I began working with a cyber-security expert who first identified the unauthorized activity, and we notified federal law enforcement officials of the breach. The manipulated material seems to be part of an effort to taint my character with false information by distorting a blog that ended a decade ago."
The hacking was the perfect crime. At first people insisted that it couldn't have possibly been a hacker, since Reid's posts appear to have had homophobic content when they were captured by the Internet Archive a decade ago. The ignorant swine of Twitter insisted that Reid must be lying.
But the cyber security expert Reid hired explained everything to the Daily Beast: the hacker infiltrated her website a decade ago, posted fake posts alongside Reid's legitimate posts, sometimes changed headlines and added entries to a liveblog as Reid herself was updating it, all without Reid ever noticing, over the span of several years.
