Tuesday, September 11th 2001. I'm sitting at a bar looking at the news of the day and this guy was having a conversation with someone else sitting next to him. He said the reason why there was so much chaos in the skies and they couldn't coordinate air traffic was because of Reagan. Turns out this guy was one of the PATCO guys that got fired in 1981. He went on to say that he (and several of his buddies) hadn't been able to get a good steady job since then... 20 years after the fact.

I paid my tab shortly afterwards. I had heard enough that day.

Not satire.

The 12-Step program is designed to pulls us forward as we first acknowledge that we have a problem; secondly, we accept that the problem is beyond our ability to manage; and third, we turn this problem over to the Higher Power. If we do this, we will reduce the ways we continually infect succeeding generations.
