That's not an avoidance. There are something like 100 million registered Democrats; even if 100,000 are behaving in what you consider to be a crazy way, that's 0.1%. "Most vocal" does not equal "majority"

First I've seen this and relieved it did not happen in the primary pride parade/celebration. However, this really bothers me. It goes against the very core of what pride is and has been about.

But it does go to show how silly some can get with the whole mixing of political ideas during these things. Especially when those very ideals conflict with your main "mission statement" for lack of a better term.

I've seen a good few articles about how "white privilege" has highjacked the LGBT movement and that especially black LGBT individuals are even further discriminated. Similar stories about BLM getting upset about LGBT cops participating in parades have come out too.

I had some of my facts off on the case I was thinking about. I didn't see anything in the article confirming any of the police were LGBT, but it was protested that they participated in this pride parade.

They protested the Toronto pride march and said they didn't want gay cops in the parade because cops hunt and kill black and gay people. The parade did ban them from participating in uniform, they got invited to the NYC one and could wear whatever they wanted. To recap, gay people run off from gay parade under threat of non gay people. Seems like progress to me.

Just another example of idiotic infighting.
