The left is fighting to bring back the very segregation of Jim Crow, yet blacks overwhelmingly vote Democrat. Why?
The law enforcement argument is interesting, since I just showed you that blacks kill each other at almost 9 times the rate of whites. I can only imagine if LEOs hung out in white communities what that number would be. Maybe they should? Equality and all.
Prison time is apparently credibility in the urban black community. Being a gangsta is where it's at. Crack might be the great equalizer as it probably kills and foments crime at similar rates (I'm still researching that though)
Read Dr Ben Carson's book. HE should be the role model for urban blacks, not LeBron. But then again, being an NBA player is vastly easier than being a pediatric neurosurgeon; it doesn't take any real intelligence. But that argument aside, what is wrong with being a plumber or electrician? WHY don't some of these kids take up those kinds of trades? We NEED them. Is access to them closed to black kids? And relative to being a Starbucks barista, the requirement of education is relatively cheap.
And we don't need a single athlete in this country. Not one.
Where are you in CLT?As someone who has worked construction since 1993, full time since 1994 I can tell you with 100% certainty there is absolutely nothing keeping black guys from becoming plumbers or electricians. Nothing. In fact...the fact that they speak English will give them a fast track to being a foreman and making even more money. They simply dont want to work that hard...or freeze all winter and burn up all summer like I do. White kids don't either today...but that it slowly starting to change now that they see that their peers graduating college have trouble landing jobs in many cases, or get jobs in retail etc making garbage money because they got a random business degree, communications, liberal arts etc. An 18yo hardworking kid with a decent head on their shoulders can become a licensed plumber or electrician after 2 years of apprenticeship and if they can stay out of trouble, somebody will gladly put them in a truck and pay them $80k a year to simply do their job. If they wanna work overtime and weekends even $100k is within reach within 2 or 3 years...which is before their peers get done drinking beer and smoking dope 12 hrs a day in college. Nevermind the fact that the average college grad wont come near $100k a year out of school except in a few select instances like my little brother whos a nuclear engineer. These yearly incomes i am quoting are here in Charlotte...but I am sure Knoxville etc are comparable. Thats down here in the South where cost of living is still somewhat lower. FWIW my son who will have his masters in clinical psychology in december makes about half that in his 1st job out of school...the potential to earn later in life is quite good though. The guy who he interned for gets $120 an hour for therapy sessions every day and is booked solid. College isnt the "sure thing" success that my generation was told, and it seems most of us told our kids as well. My nephew is gonna go the plumber route when he graduates next year. I bet he earns more than my son, and has zero worries over job security or economics for at least the first decade they are employed. He may earn more period and always if he starts his own company eventually and gets a couple trucks on the road. I wish i had gone either route...instead of working my way from the bottom to a foreman and top level brickmason, and then moving over to a Superintendent for a big contractor. Plumbing and electrical are recession proof. Even when the economy is crap because Dimwits ruined it again...toilets still clog up, sinks too...and electrical problems still happen. Those 2 trades are not tied directly to new construction and have service calls. Not true for many other trades in construction. I didnt know these things as a 17yo kid though...and didnt have anyone around to tell me these facts.
I am staying on the southside right now. Wife and kids are in Mt Holly. We have been separated for a few years, and get along much better honestly. Like Jerry Garcia said " it's been a long, strange trip."Where are you in CLT?
LmaoAnd here I thought you died of congestive heart failure or masturbating yourself to death.
Wifey is a South Meck girl. We are a bit N and E of CLT. My Holly isn’t too far to get to see the kids, and the old drive in is a great place for a burger; glad everything is working out for you.I am staying on the southside right now. Pepperjax had a white guilt experience once many moons ago in high school. My good buddy Raymond and I blazed a huge joint of some white widow behind the student parking lot before school at Powell years back. This flower truly was some fiery dank! We were higher than Hunter Biden at a White House cocktail party once we finished that bad boy. Anyways, we both had first period biology class together and made our way to the classroom. Somehow, another bish azz student informed a faculty member that Raymond was in possession of some ganja (probably because we both reeked). Luckily, we had smoked all the evidence. Raymond made his way to the principal's office while I sat in biology high like a bird. Odds are he was singled out because he was black. I felt guilty for about five minutes but that guilt quickly melted away into stoned euphoria! Going to the office would have been a ginormous buzzkill. Raymond still gives me crap about that to this very day. True story, check my stats. A righteous buzz will always prevail!
"White."

Two snaps up!Just curious about something. Does anyone consider the old tv show In Living Color racist or homophobic? I always thought it was funny. I also find Dave Chappelle funny. Poking fun at different cultures and identities is always humorous. Are the days gone where we can find humor in stuff like that?
It came up today and someone got a bit shook. I always thought that stuff was good lighthearted humor as long as it was not taken too seriously.
I graduated HS in Charlotte. I went to Providence Sr. High....the 1st year it was opened in '89-'90.Wifey is a South Meck girl. We are a bit N and E of CLT. My Holly isn’t too far to get to see the kids, and the old drive in is a great place for a burger; glad everything is working out for you.
My wife and I both went to Harding. I went to Olympic for a bit too. I too married a Carolina girl so I am pretty much stuck in Charlotte since my kids and eventual grandkids will be here. Would rather be in the Knoxville area where my family lives ...theres quite a few posters on VN in charlotte though.
This year during the Super Bowl halftime show wife and I turned on the old In Living Color Men On Football episodes. freaking hilarious.Just curious about something.
