You have to blow it up to read the tweets, but good grief at people.
Whats funny is Roots is all made up. Hell some of it is even plagiarized. But hey these are the same people who thought that gorilla was killed because a "White kid" fell in there so I'm not surprised at the ignorance.
LOL. I want to know how much backpeddeling happened once these dumbasses found out the kid was actually black. Or did the argument morph in to "If that kid was white, they would have shot the gorilla before he even laid a hand on the white devil"?
The use of the meteorological term haboob, a word with Arabic roots, didnt sit well with some residents.
Reader John Fullbright wrote:
Haboob!?! Im a Texan. Not a foreigner from Iraq or Afghanistan. They might have haboobs but around here in the Panhandle of TEXAS, we have Dust Storms. So would you mind stating it that way. Ill find another weather service
Brenda Daffern added:
In Texas, nimrod, this is called a sandstorm. Weve had them for years! If you would like to move to the Middle East you can call this a haboob. While you reside here, call it a sandstorm. We Texans will appreciate you.
I didn't know where else to put this, but seems appropriate because unnecessary offense is being taken:
