The 109th United States Open Championship

Glover may be the most unpopular US Open winner in a while, since you know the majority of fans were pulling for Lefty and/or DD.

saw an interesting bit over on ESPN (probably already mentioned but wasn't sure)

1:05 p.m. ET: One note on Lucas Glover's putting, which has looked strong throughout the week: He is playing with the new Nike prototype putter, which he has had in his bag since the Bob Hope Classic earlier in the year. And his putting stats have improved since making the switch. Before this week, Glover was ranked 23rd in putts per round and 32nd in putting average. Last year, he was ranked 116th and 107th respectively.

Everything turned when I headed home to watch the finish over lunch... knew that would happen.

Cool play down the stretch from Glover. He earned it. But damn I wanted to see 18 more...

Didn't get to watch much of it, but i heard Glover doesn't wear a glove. Him and Fred Couples maybe the only guys on tour that don't. Anyone know for sure?

But if Mickleson had won, I wouldn't have to be listening to how Tiger could have and should have won it, even though he was never contending.

and if he had won, we would be listening to what an amazing story it is and how he finally reached his the goal he's had his whole life of winning the U.S. Open, all while dealing with personal issues.

both stories would be/are equally insufferable.

I disagree. Every tourney Tiger loses isn't about how the winner won, it's about how Tiger lost. This would have been the first time we had to hear about Phil facing such a situation.
