The 11' recruiting class

3 prospects to watch- IMO, I think we should try to get Michael Johnson QB from briarcrest in memphis. Rumor is that he's going to be the number one QB in Tennessee. Briarcrest also has Hunter Long [younger bro of Austin Long] and Tray Becton-Martin WR who should put up big number again this up coming fall. It wouldnt shock me if he becomes the state's top Wide out prospect.

Tn will recruit long. Only need one qb, they will be picky, probably not Johnson.

Becton- one star unranked on scout. No d1 offers, doesn't list tn in his schools on scout. Not sure why he is a priority.

11'?
An eleven foot recruiting class?

Funniest post I've read in a while. It did take me a moment to figure it out, though.... :lolabove::good!::hi:

Yeah, back to the point, of course this group of coaches is gonna get it done. They wake up everyday thinking they're going to, so why should I question them after what they've already been able to accomplish. It only gets better from here...

Lol once again TN receivers have not been completely evaluted so they all have one star by them. And considering that Becton-martin was one of the best Wr in TN this past season, I don't see a reason why we wouldn't add him to our roster.
And yes Jake O. is another good Qb. The Kid threw
Like 50 touchdowns this season.

wrong. Scout has ranked and assessed stars, it's on the site and has been for days. There are a ton of receivers ranked with multiple stars. Becton right now is a 1 star unranked receiver. Johnson is a one star unranked qb.

Completely disagree. Our recruiting will be much better. You don't have to play in the gray areas to be successful. Saban, meyer, mack brown, none of these guys have a bad rep and they are outstanding recruiters. Fulmer in his prime was outstanding. We should and will go after the very best players out there and will get our share. Lt and cdd have done before and I expect no less now.
Saban, clean? :eek:lol:

You're completely out of your mind if you think this program is going to recruit nationally better than the former staff.

I'll start to care about this sentence when you remove that word in bold.

With the word, you may be right. Without the word, I think we'll be fine.

Maybe if you read the post... Recruiting will get better than this year, a top 10-15 class. X would have had us top five and I think this staff can get us in that range. I never said cdd would outrecruit x. I never said saban was clean, but he and the other coaches listed have managed to run programs for a while that have not gotten the schools in trouble that hurt the program. And if you are certain that saban isn't a clean recruiter, then get ready for trouble because you have TWO of his former recruiting coordinators at tenn- clt cdd. I don't really care to define clean/dirty, I'll say this, I want them to be effective and not do anything that will hender the program, which includes major violations that detrimentally effect the quality of the program.

I won't comment further on your nonsense because it is pointless. Saban has always pushed the rules to the limits though which is playing in the gray areas of recruiting. There is a reason the guy has a rule concerning recruiting named after him.

If you go back and read my original post, I think we are on pretty much the same page. I think we will recruit more in the immediate area around TN and chase less players nationally than with the former staff. Not saying we have to take a national recruiting approach to be successful.

hum, yes and saban has gotten sanctions that have been detrimental to his program how many times? And he has how many no1. Recruiting classes? And how many national championships?

Once again, never said he was clean, just said he had not gotten his team in trouble. Don't have a problem with pushing the envelope, do have a problem with breaking the envelope. Kiffin and o were doing things that were bad enough and consistent enough to bring investigations our way in a very short time.

If saban did something, then they made a rule, it might be, well, because ..... What he did wasn't against the rules when he did it! Gee, I don't know, kinda hope our coaches are smart enough to do all they can for tenn as long as they are breaking the rule. Thanks for the article, it supports my point that he isn't breaking the rules.
