Bob Tasca didnt make the Countdown to the Championship. I cant understand someone who has the funding that he has that cant finish in the top 10 of 16 drivers.

Yeah. It still surprises me that these guys spin the tires from a 50-60mph roll in 3rd gear. F1 cars can go from a complete stop to racing speed with little trouble. Then again I am sure my car makes more torque than a F1 car whilst a Winston Cup car makes triple that.

How is the track from a spectator standpoint? I would have loved to go, but I was at my sister's wedding. $35 for a ticket is a great deal.

they estimate them at around 12k hp these days.

I wonder what the theoretical top speed of one of those things is? If they were given a long enough strip and appropriate gearing.

I love Atlanta. The cars running different lines through the turns are function watch. Its a track where you can actually pass. I reccomend sitting closer to the Turn 3 side of the front stretch and about half way up the upper level.

The restarts were the same way in the Nationwide race on Sat. I wonder if it had anything to do with the duel tread tires on the right side?

we will never know, they are pushing the limits on the tires now. They have big trouble with the tires chunking at the speeds they run already.

I would love to see one wound up on a 1 mile strip. 3qtr mile to run and a qtr mile to slow down.
