The 2010 A L East Thread

he needs some type of silver lining. only a sux fan would act like the game last night was bigger than getting hammered in the previous 2.

yeah. boston has bigger problems then being swept. beckett needs his head checked. unfortuanly i have boston fan friends that are actually really good about admitting the reality of the baseball. rumblings from ppl at fenway is beckett's OCD is getting more more annoying later and later into the season the past few years. they were also the first to point out to me that over the last 10 games the red sox have had the most in game replacements and repositions in the league. it's hard to ask Tek to lead a bunch of individuals. Lot of under performing money out there with some bare cupboards below.

Would you like me to talk about Bucky Dent? Or the Babe Ruth trade? Or Aaron Boone? Or the 20 ring lead?

I'm talking about what's relevant for the current teams as constructed. It's a relevant stat.

My, you are testy for it being so early in the season.

The Rays made a change as they say sayonara to Pat Burrell while promoting 1B/3B/DH Hank Blalock from AAA ball.

No, just wished you would be quiet.

Boston hater ^ established late 90's or early 00's.

as opposed to all those die hard bosox fans...since 04. or when they saw the movie fever pitch.

i was raised a boston hater. i have enjoyed the recent success of my yanks, but i remember the Mattingly era and the drought. Donnie Baseball, Dave Winfield, Ron Guidry might not have won the series, but those were some pretty fun teams to watch. i think donnie would have finally got his in 94 though.

I guess you have been staying clear of NBA action then.

nah, i like sports so i wouldn't subject myself to watching anything to do with the NBA. It's the only sport that horridly downgrades as it traverses from the college arena to the pros.

Donnie Baseball is my favorite player of all time, but Pags is who made me want to play third base. I loved those teams!

First off, I wasn't talking to you...you guys and your fever pitch angle are hilarious, you guys act like that was a blockbuster film that will influence generations to come...it was a well below average movie that only a handful of people in the world still reference...all of which are Yankee fans who frequent this site.

So you were talking to me? And you made that assumption how?

Of course I was...I make that assumption about fans of teams that have a huge bandwagon/fairweather fanbase like the Yankees.

Now go ahead and tell me how you were there for the bad years and that the Boston fanbase is all bandwagon and never heard of the Red Sox before the movie Fever Pitch came out.
