Boom! What's the gold medal count?

Surely we're gonna destroy China now. We were already beating them in overall count, and after gymnastics and diving, what do they have left? We are good at everything!

American diver David Boudia won the gold in the 10 meter diving competition. Thought it was noteworthy since the Chinese are so heavily favored. Its the first gold for the US in diving since 2000.

I like how usually the U.S. broadcasters portray the event so that it appears like a 15th place American might have a shot at a medal. Maybe this time we actually did.

Was that the last event the US was still involved in?



(Just saw the handball finals, France wins 2nd gold in a row...I don't know why but for some reason I've been really digging that sport this Olympics)

I wanna say I heard Costas say we were playing for mens beach volleyball gold today? Or maybe he just said the game was coming on later and I assumed we were in it

I thought I just saw Italy and another team (was it Bulgaria maybe?) playing for the gold
