Yes and we win the UF game if Peterman never plays!

:loco:

JW is the starter, a senior, has 4 yrs of experience, and can play well when given the opportunity.

Tennesseeduke

He sucks. He doesn't play well when given the opportunity. Stop trying to paint poop into gold.

Yet Dobbs still can't beat him out.

We still got fall camp. I think he will then. I don't get the whole senior leadership thing. Worley is almost as bad as cromptons Jr. year. He does not have that upside at all.

Great job with the lists compiled. For sake of discussion I'll remove my orange colored glasses for a different perspective.

Quarterbacks

Rating: 4 / 10. Dobbs was pedestrian at best as a freshman but is smart and appears to be working hard to improve. Peterman was a dumpster fire in his only playing time. Neither of the freshmen were ranked 5* can't miss QB's out of HS. I'm hoping someone steps up and shines but until then we're only hoping for the best.

Running Backs

Rating: 7.5/10. Like you said, this group has a ton of potential! Hopefully they will stay healthy and the cream of a very talented group will emerge as a force. Right now unproven.

Wide Receivers

Rating: 10/10. Great group of talent. Just need someone to get them the ball.

Offensive Line

Rating: 4/10. A real shame past recruiting has left us with wholesale replacement of the OL. Again, no 5* can't miss types stepping in so my fingers are crossed hoping these guys have developed.

Tight End

Rating: 8/10. We have a solid group with good potential, but still unproven. AGREED

Special Teams

We have a solid group with good potential, but still unproven.

Rating: 7/10. .

Defensive Line

Rating: 6/10. We're putting together a solid group on the DL. Again, unproven and no can't miss 5*'s (unless KM commits). Lot's of potential to battle for PT so hopefully the cream again will rise.

Linebackers

Rating: 8/10. I think I like this group even a bit more than yourself.

Secondary

Rating: 8.5/10. I really like this group. Sutton is proven and TKjr, Gaulden, and double Berry are some elite talent IMO. Just need to prove it.

yes and opinions are like a$$holes and everyone has one. I appreciate your opinion. Hard to believe he hasn't been beaten out by the others plus Ferg. transferred out! Either you don't trust CBJ & company or you think you know more than they do. Which is it?

I think its not over yet. I think he's losing his job before September. Ferg transfered out because he had to work, not because Worley was better.

Don't trust anyone. It'll be broken.

What are we looking at for the return specialists? I know Vic but who else?

And Crompton is proof that a player can have a break out Sr. year.

Crompton is the only one I know of in that situation that broke out. I don't think Butch will wait until the Georgia game for him to not suck.

I don't think Butch will wait either if that turns out to be true, but I don't think any of us know how JW will perform now that he seemingly has an arsenal to throw to...and with another year in the same scheme. A lot of things will have to come together including an O line that can pass protect and run block, and a defense that can stop the other team. As ballyhooed as our O line was last year, JW really didn't have any of that. He might not this year either, but there are signs there might be some promising dynamics afoot with the young but suddenly well stocked skill player positions. I just can't attribute all of our failures last year to "Worley sucks." Put AJ McCarron in Worley's shoes last year and does he do that much better?

Pretty good thread overall. There are few places I would probably come down one point, but still pretty good. Thanks for a good read.
