Tonight's awards have pretty much gone as most were expecting them to in each of the categories

Jeff Bridges just won best actor; first academy award in 5 nominations

I really couldn't care less about the Oscars... but it's great to see Jeff Bridges win that. He's an awesome actor.

but if he read anything beforehand, he would have seen hurt locker was really the heavy favorite for best picture

I still dont understand this. There were 50 other actresses in that room that could have played that role just as well if not better.

Getting beat by a women is one thing, getting beat by your ex wife is another.
The one thing i realized tonight is Jeff Bridges is really The Dude in real life.

Yeah it was which i think in part it became more about Avatar vs The Hurt Locker tonight because it had a great personal storyline. Putting that aside, The Hurt Locker was a fantastic movie and i think it deserved the recognition it got tonight, unlike last years big winner.
