The actual best part about Hubbs' commitment

Hubbs who has serious menphis ties.

"Hubbs serious Memphis ties" (BTO you can do better than that), the kid is from Dyer County.

If CCM pulls JWIII i would be truly amazed, being that i always stated he was headed out of state preferably close to his brother in the DC metro area.

Nichols could very well land in Knoxville, most logical Memphians know they have little chance at signing a local private school kid.

Go look at what Robert Hubbs Sr. says about Cuonzo Martin. It's not even really about basketball. It's the type of influence Coach Martin has on young kids.

When a father says about a coach "He's not going to be the father I am, but he's the next best thing" that is special.

In this day, college athletics is a sleazy, slimy, greaseball of a profession. And after Joe Paterno, there doesn't seem any hope in the "Grand Experiment". Hell, I lost hope.

Am I saying Cuonzo is going to have the athletic success of a great. I don't know. I hope he does. What I do believe is that Cuonzo Martin is going to help teach these kids how to be men, which is a lost art among adult males today.

That's why I'm proud Cuonzo Martin is representing The University of Tennessee. He's a leader of men.

I agree 100%!

His father is involved and well respected on the memphis basketball scene. Hubbs played for a Memphis based AAU team, I'd assume you're aware of this. He's friends with Skal, who guess what, is a memphis kid. National recruiting services have also said this could pay dividends with Leron Black.

It's not as strong as signing a memphis kid, but it's pretty damn close. If you truly think bringing in Hubbs won't help UT in Memphis you're more clueless than Easterwood.

You're right, it's not as strong as signing a Memphis kid because he isn't a Memphis kid. Honestly i fail to see how it helps UT's recruiting in Memphis (guess i'm as clueless as esterwood). Hubbs is from Dyer county (3 counties north of Shelby county) and doesn't have the added pressure that local inner city kids face of having to play for their city by fans, family, friends, etc.

Skal is another private school kid just like Austin, so i expect him to play anywhere but Memphis. Leron Black will be expected to sign with the Tiger's because he's an inner city kid, and he will be Pastner's top priority. Memphians expect the top prospects in the city to sign with the Tigers (which they have, excluding private school kids), if not then it's time for a new head coach.

I heard Skal likes UM a lot right now. Then again his circumstances are a bit different.

Unfortunately recruiting isnt Josh Pastner's problem...I think we ALL know what that is...and I like the guy...BUT he's got to bring it this year IMO....

Why would we?

He has signed the top local talent, all he has to do now is win.

You said black was Pastners top priority, and that memphis coaches don't miss on top priorities in the city...if they do it's time for a new coach.

Well....black committed to Baylor.

Something is fishy, maybe the NCAA should start investigating Baylor. How in the ***** is Scott Drew getting elite talent to come to Waco Texas of all places, it's not like he's Roy Williams or Coach K.
