1. Alabama wanted it more. Simple as that.

2. Step backwards with Golden today. It's a rollercoaster progress.

3. There is no excuse for Tennessee being pushed around inside. That was just sad.

4. Despite the inconsistentcy, this team needs Kenny Hall. He provides good things that the other backup posts can't.

5. When your wings shoot 2-22 from the floor, you are going to lose. It's bound to happen.

6. If you have 17 TO's with the kind of pace you play, you are going to lose. Plain and simple.

7. This puts a serious dent in the tourney and a good chance of killing them. They have to win out and get two in the SEC tourney now. But with this team, I think it's pretty safe to they are NIT bound.

Bama had 19 points off 16 UT turnovers last time I looked. Bama, also, with 15 steals.

Game was nasty to see. I don't get to see a lot of games, but man... I'm sorry I saw that one.

1. We held them to 37% shooting and still got beat by 12 in a game that felt like it wasn't closer than 20 in the final 10 minutes.

2. 6 TO's from your PG to only 2 assists. Inexcusable.

3. This team has not been properly coached on how to attack the middle of a 2-3 zone defense. It doesn't help our cause that we have virtually no one capable of attacking off the dribble. If I am an opposing coach, I play 40 minutes of zone against us and make us win shooting 3's. We certainly have no problem taking them. This is something that certainly needs to be addressed in the offseason.

Also, as it relates to coaching, watching Alabama play that zone so effectively should at least give CCM a look at how effective it can be against teams that struggle to shoot the ball outside and have little in the way of good one-on-one guards. I really wish he would implement some zone into our defensive arsenal for next season as well.

4. We played well enough defensively to win this game, we just played bad enough offensively to lose three games.

5. The effort was pitiful today. Alabama wanted and got every 50-50 ball. No one outside of Maymon played with purpose, and his faded at times in the second half with some stupid, unforced turnovers.

6. I don't know that I have ever seen a spell like I did from the 17:14 mark or the second half to the 5:02 mark. We went without a FG out of our set offense for over 12 minutes. We got an uncontested layup from Golden off a steal and a couple FT's from Tatum in that span.

1. It should have been 25. UT got lucky.

2. Can't have that.

3. Very inconsistent zone offense. Have to understand Maymon and Stokes can kill the zone in the high post.

4. Didn't help they had 13 offensive rebounds.

5. Thought Stokes did, but mainly agree.

6. I almost turned it off it was that bad.

I agree on learning a zone D. I know he wants to play man, but if zone D might keep you in a game or get you back in a game, I think it's a little stubborn not to learn to play it. Play it with your man principles.

When your guards can't knock down open 3's, it makes it hard to attack the middle of a 2-3 zone. Hard to coach shooting. You either can or you can't. Too bad for us, we have more "can'ts" than "cans"

Zones are best attacked at the free throw line and along the baselines. We have no player that can do that. Woolridge looks like he could, but he hasn't. No one else even fits the part. Great coaching job to zone us.

That's partly true. If you can properly penetrate the zone, like Relaford would have broken down ours, your kickouts lead to open shots and even an extra pass to an open shooter. An open shooter will shoot a higher %. Got to get open shots, not late frantic shots.

For get the pregame hype and circumstances and remember you will ALWAYS get your rivals best no matter what the sport is. :eek:hmy:

I will not be so nice. That performance was an inexcusable utter disgrace! end of story. Now they must step up and win the last four. Bama is an NIT team if they do not get there two big guys back.

IMO we had a lot of open shots, not all were open but alot, and our guards missed them.

Did anyone notice that on each and every time Kyle Macy questioned the official's call, he said that a poor call went against Alabama. One thing is for sure, unless you are Kentucky in the SEC, the home team nearly always gets the borderline calls. This game was no different, but Kyle could only see bad calls against Alabama.

We need to get together and purchase him the opponent's cheerleading skirt.

Agreed, I know Tatum especially missed multiple wide open threes. Eventually they stopped trying to close out on him because it didn't matter if he had a hand in his face or not.

I remember Mcbee having an open shot and Cam with a couple or three. I meant that Jordan had one early, but was pulling up with people in his face most of the game.

Off the top of my head, I don't recall that many open shots, outside of Cam with @ 3 or so, but I don't think they felt they had to guard him, tbh. You can tell it in your opponents face. Sometime you just guard him loosely and dare him to shoot, which makes him go into even more of a psychological funk.

This team is far too inconsistent to be a NCAA tourney team. The potential is there, but the team doesn't always play up to their potential.
