The American people apparently have a very poor opinion of congress.

I wouldn't quite be making bets just yet on the demise of the democratic congress.Anyone who understands how politics works knows congress never grades well in approval ratings cause most people hate everyone else's representative oh but ask them about theirs and he's doing a heckuva job and just like in 06 and 08 in the polling as bad as dems numbers are they are taking the gop to the woodshed in approval/disapproval ratings.
Congress: Democrats
Congress: Republicans

Don't you have a pro government rally to attend?

I mean, we still have liberty in this country, you need to work on back dooring our rights away!

Most people in this country are not purely partisan, what I mean is most realize that this two party system is of great benefit. The problem is that republicans over the past 10 years have started to spend very liberally and it has become very evident that they are as out of control just as congress has as a whole. The problem is they have not been doing their jobs, they have not put any checks on out of control spending, in fact they are now just as much of the problem. It does not surprise me they are polling so low. The problem isn't that the republicans are too far to the right, they haven't been conservative where it counts, on spending. When they are put on the chopping block the new blood coming in will take note and correct the mistakes of their predecessors.

Like I said before, it really doesn't matter who runs it, Congress will almost never have a good approval rating. Highest was right after 9/11.

I dunno about that. They will definitely lose a few seats though. It won't be 2006 in reverse though.

I think you are probably right, I will be happy if the dims loose their filibuster proof majority in the senate and am hopeful they don't do too much damage in the next couple of years, at least the 'cap and trade' is probably dead for at least this spring.

BTW, you probably missed this in another thread;

Copy of Odinga's old Raila Odinga for President web page, giving Odinga's explanation for the Memorandum Of Understanding he signed with Muslim leaders, declaring Islam to be the only true religion and promising to impose Sharia law on Kenya if elected.

As of March 2009, Odinga cancelled this old campaign website from 2007-8. I am posting this copy so that people can see that he admitted on his own website that he signed the MOU.

This is well known in Kenya of course, where Muslim leaders bragged about it (which is why Odinga needed to offer an explanation), but people in the west might not know that Odinga's signing of the MOU is an established fact, admitted by Odinga himself.

Which gets me back to my original question, often denied but never addressed by any Obama supporter on this site, if Barry supports this kind of politics in Kenya, what do you think he might do here in America?
