I thought I was the only one to remember that stuff. It seemed like they were actively trying to piss UT fans off.
Bud Adams, also took the name Tennessee Titans vs. Nashville Titans so he could use the "T".
One last thing I'd like to add though is that i dont think at all it's the titans v vols in this state, they are both TENNESSEE's teams and both represent and play for this state
well at least if I'm crazy someone is sharing it with me
biggest difference is the players wearing orange on Saturdays made the choice to represent Tennessee. The ones on Sunday are paid to do it.
yeah the whole college v pro thing, i get it. Alot of those ncaa players are playing to make money later too, not just uni. love
i think that was the point though of "we don't compete. They play college and we play pro." You can like them both. the titans arent trying to steal the vols thunder nor disgrace the university. They just wanted fans to cheer for them. They're not at all trying to compete with UT and take away it's fans or anything. Both sides still like the state, both the pros and the college kids, and both represent it.
You didn't hear/see what was said when they came to TN. There was some disdain for UT and the Vol fans. The only reason they represent the state is because they are paid million to do so. Or do you really believe that Tiger Woods only drives a Buick?
A person who chooses to represent the Univ of TN has much more respect in my book.
I know there are some Tennessee fans that pull for Peyton over the Titans but I'm not one of them. The announcers sounded as if everyone in Tennessee pulled for Peyton's Colts over the Titans.I like Peyton when he's not going against the Titans.

who are you to tell me who i can and can not cheer for? personally i'm a cowboys fan, but regardless, peyton is possibly the greatest of all time. i enjoy watching him play. cheer for the titans i don't care, and neither should you care about who i want to cheer for
