I don't know. City is pretty damn good. It will be interesting to see how United do without Vidic for the rest of the season.

any you guys know anything on the Brazilian midfielder the LA Galaxy just signed as a DP? i believe his name is Marcello Fazzio Sarvas. Been playing in the Puerto Rican club or something like that. this guy may be great but i would think that LA would want to keep its profile higher if Becks jets.

That's what makes the EPL the best league in the world. It is such a brutal marathon and you never know how things will turn.

Man if American football could get the soccer announcers the games would be that much more fun to watch. I love soccer but at as you all know it gets a little slow at time. Just imagine if they had an action packed game in the NLF or SEC.

The only guys who are household names in the US aside from the premier national guys like Donovan, Howard, maybe Shea here in the near future, are European stars. MLS clubs still have to wait until they get them over the hill because the money is somewhat scarce unless you're one of a handful of clubs and the level of competition is nowhere near. I think international stars past their prime collecting a quick last pay check and enjoying US tax rates will continue to be a trend.

what you say is true. its not going to change until first, the american fans of european soccer fully embrace the mls. the mls is not even 20 yrs old. of course it cant compete with the european leagues. americans should embrace it anyways, because its ours and needs american support.

i also think mls has to quit trying to go head to head with the NFL for Sundays. maybe try and target Thursday orFriday nights to showcase the league.

Have we ever taken the olympics seriously? It always falls around the time of the W.C. qualifying and that is what we focus on I believe. Could be wrong though.

I agree they should avoid Sunday. I would watch a lot more if they had more games Tuesday-Thursday.

I think one major issue is Fox Soccer Channel is inaccessible to most Americans. I can't get it unless I pay for a very expensive package (like 4th tier). It's just not worth it unless you are fanatical.

i would think with US trying to up our soccer profile, we will take it seriously. as far as the senior players added if we qualify, i dont know who klinsmann would release.

the whole tv thing confuses me. will nbc take steps to make the mls more public? will games actually be on nbc or just versus?

Arsenal can't catch a break. They get Barca last year after not winning their group and when they do win their group this year, they get Milan.
