I hadnt read all that, then if thats how it goes he should be at least be able to be sued in civil court. As far as the other stuff, i good see some sort of negligence charges for that. It makes more sense to if he encourages it, I had a few buddies who did security for events like that and from their procedures to all of the different branches that are usually on site it was hard for me to wrap my mind around the amount of un ruly things that happened.
Also, while I don't disagree that responsibility lands on the crowd, as well...yes, have more regard for your fellow man and woman; make no mistake, Travis Scott was in charge of the whole shebangabang, including the crowd. He's the man on the mic, and could have gotten that crowd to do whatever he wanted them to do. He gets them to jump from balconies and 20 foot stages into a "raging", absolutely insane crowd (I have been to over 500 shows in my life, festivals, 100,000 people, from rock, country, hip hop, and everything in between...ive seen some crazy crowds, ive been crazy in them; but, I have never seen anything like these new hip hop crowds...total MADNESS!)...however, 5mins in, 20 mins in, 40 mins in...all he had to do was stop the music, say "turn the lights on, everyone take 5 steps back", and 50,000 people would have done it.
At one point in the show, he saw an ambulance in the middle of the crowd, acknowledged it...people were dancing on top of it, red and blue lights on top blazing...instead of holding up, even for a brief moment to maybe let it get to where it was going, do what it needed to do, he said on the mic, and I quote, "ya'll know what ya'll came to do...I wanna make this motherfcuking ground shake", before blasting into another song, as two people lept from the stage into the crowd, and 50,000 were going crazy again.
He kept singing as he looked DIRECTLY at security pulling a kid from the crowd; and if that kid wasn't dead, it was by the wonderful grace of God, because he was as limp and lifeless as I have ever seen.
The medic tent was already overwhelmed by 8:15, 8:30...
The surge started before 9, picked up in intensity whenever a timer started counting down to Scott, and whenever he hit the stage a little after 9, it was TOTAL chaos that didn't end until around 10:15, his last song...a 'mass casualty event' was declared at 9:38...he played his entire set...the surge and crush went on for at least an hour and a half.
What more is there to say...?
