I assume Garcia is only going to be on the September roster to add depth shagging flies in the outfield during the stretch run. No chance he ever pitches any meaningful innings unless the Braves' plane goes down.

"Garcia, 36, was 3-5 with a 5.77 ERA in 11 games (10 starts) with the Orioles this year. His last appearance in the majors was June 23 when he allowed seven earned runs in 2 1/3 innings to the Toronto Blue Jays. He was sent to Norfolk to make room for Kevin Gausman."

I'm sure that's exactly what's going on. He'll get spot starts and mop up duty to save some arms in September and then won't get anywhere near a playoff roster. The fact that he's going straight to Gwinnett is telling.

Plane is showing serious signs of distress. Mikie has got dead arm, Beachy is screwed, and Black Jesus has a broken face. To top it all off, our highest paid position players are the absolute worst everyday players in the majors. Fellas, as Brown previously mentioned we are at DEFCON 1. All hands on deck.

Freddy Garcia has a 2.84 ERA at AAA since being sent down.

Paul Maholm probably hasn't had a 2.84 ERA since germantown high school days.

I'd rather being back Kevin Millwood for long relief/spot start before Freddie Garcia, holy **** what a train wreck this is becoming.

A Jimmy Johns has apparently just opened next door to my usual grocery store. I've never eaten at one, so next week I'm going to need a recommendation on what to get. I expect to be blown away after listening to you guys talk it up.

I'll be joining Barves action late tonight. Going to give my alma mater at least a half to keep me tuned into the radio feed.
