Started drinking at 8:00 am yesterday with breakfast and fell asleep with a beer in my hand around 1:00 am this morning. I should not do that anymore.

I may be fooling myself but I don't think our line will totally suck next year. Wish there was a chance of Tiny staying, though.

tiny looks make believe character big in this video.

Its pretty sad our 2nd/3rd team guys only put up 3 points on APSU

Yes, agreed, but in all fairness they shut it down in the second half. Ran about three generic plays mirrored left and right of the formation. Didn't reveal much at all in the second half, except that the conditioning, overall, on this this team is so much better.

No penalties and much improved conditioning were my two big take-aways from the game.

On the negative side, Worley's arm concerns me. I don't think North had a ball out in front of him the entire game.

You could tell Worley was thinking about that throw to North in his postgame interview. I'm not ready to be REALLY worried about his arm yet... I think he's better than that throw. He can get some zip on the ball, we'll just see what he can do to take the top off of the defense.

They say the most improvement comes between game one and game two. That said, how do you improve offensively with no penalties? The only way I see is to open up the playbook more - that's where my concerns about Worley come in.

Being picky, I'd like to see Neal just go instead of running laterally and waiting for it to develop in front of him. That will work against AP but not against SEC defenses with their overall speed and pursuit.

It looked to me like both incompletions to North were very catchable balls.

I don't think that's the one he's referring to. North's longest catch, the post where he slid to make the grab, should have been an easy 6. And Worley knows it. Just have to see it corrected.

Kentucky ran for over 200 yards and 6.8 a pop vs WKU yesterday. Even without superstar running backs, we should have a lotttt of success on the ground against them.

That's my only knock on him. He seemed to run through tackles more, even if its just AP. I still like him as our lead back over Lane

While I agree, I do think Butch called off the dogs considerably in the second half.

Both valid points. I still am really concerned if someone other than an olineman goes down from a depth perspective. Huge drop off imo

Yeah, that play happened right in front of me. There were a lot of throws that receivers either had to slide to catch, or that were well behind them. I wouldn't say I'm concerned about Worley, but he certainly didn't blow anyone away either. I think he is, at best, a game manager. If we can continue to run the ball, that will be just fine...or until we have to play from behind. Like against Oregon.

I'm fairly happy with the run game. Wouldn't mind seeing Summerhill get a carry or two as a change of pace to see what he's got, but that may not happen with two established RBs already in place.
