The Cletuses are gonna skewer you if you use describe the incredible turnover situation (and the resulting 30-35 point score difference) as anything other than the result of our hard-headed, opportunistic defense

Really though, only the first one was what I'd call pure luck. The next 3 or 4 resulted from pressure or ripping the all out or a good break on the ball. After that, I lost count. :)

Haven't watched a replay, just reiterating what everyone else has said after watching it in person...

Oregon will beat us easily. We don't have the defenders to keep up, and Juatin Worley can't lead an offense to keep uo in a shootout. Our offense won't slow down the game to help us out any. It could get bad

Yes, but when all that pressure leads to seven turnovers rather than two or even three, you've clearly entered the realm of the fluke. Doubly so when every one of those turnovers either directly results in or thwarts a score. What happened today never happens.

Worley may fall into the "can't win us a game can definitely lose us games" category. Surely Ferguson can do that or better.

Agree, but people need to stop acting like we were facing an actual quality opponent. In reality, they weren't going to make it a game unless they played a clean game and forced 2-3 turnovers.

They're a bad opponent. We won by thirty. We got about thirty points' worth of weird fluky turnover stuff.

My two takeaways are:

1) The way UT came out and handled the second half is the most encouraging thing we've seen from Tennessee football since probably the South Carolina game when Kiffin was here, and

2) As expected, we still suck.

That right there is what I hate about being a shotgun-only team. Fourth and goal from six inches away and there's not even the threat of a sneak.

Only undefeated team in the east, gents.

Haha.

Edit: forgot mizzou.

Let's just screw around and beat Oregon.

SC mad at the wrong team... no wonder they lost the game.
