He has kind of hinted at grey being worked into the uni's at times

I'm not an absolutist like some of the other old farts but I'm going to be irritated if he dicks around with the uniforms much at all. An alternate jersey once a year would be all right but I hope we don't mess with the standard home unis too much. The idea of grey does not exactly blow my skirt up.

What about black Verc?

I'm fine with black or grey or whatever (except camouflage) once a year as an alternate. I'm not fine with diluting it to the point where the traditional orange jersey is not the standard jersey.

I completely agree. Once a year. Black is actually our original jersey color. Orange is Tennessee. Can't ever get enough. I am fond of the orange on orange. Never have too much orange.

I completely agree...so long as the orange is actually orange. (Not that pinkish orange sh!t the basketball team got stuck with last year.)

What is the latest on Beachy?

Brandon Beachy’s elbow is improving after a little more than a week of rest since the Braves shut down him down on the cusp of his return from Tommy John surgery. The Braves are planning to have him throw a bullpen session some time before the end of this five-game trip to Milwaukee and Kansas City.

“I don’t know exactly which day, but he’ll throw a bullpen - probably just a light bullpen - sometime this road trip,” Gonzalez said. “That’s why he came with us, to get treatment with our trainer and physical therapist.”

Gonzalez said there’s no plan for “ramping Beachy up” yet, though, and that they’re going to play it smart with a pitcher who endured his first setback at about the 12-month mark in his recovery.

“We’ll play it safe with him,” Gonzalez said.

Gonzalez said there’s no plan mapped out beyond this initial bullpen but when the time comes, Beachy will throw at least a couple of bullpens before he heads back out on a minor league rehabilitation assignment to build back up. At that rate, Beachy isn’t likely to return until sometime after the All-Star break.

That was from Saturday.

I'm down with alternate jerseys once a year or so. Hell, doesn't even have to be once a year, or scheduled, or anything like that...just break them out occasionally. I think if we do it, though, it has to be black.

Always bet on black.

Has this been discussed before? It's either Jimmy Frank or a Portuguese Neo-Nazi leader. I imagine with my track record it's been discussed
