I'd much rather have Huddy pitch a game 3 or 4 than Maholm.

With that said, you have to put sentiment aside sometimes. Huddy is probably my favorite current Brave.

Hudson is clearly behind medlen Julio and minor. If beachy is remotely close to beachy, Hudson and Maholm are behind him too.

At this point, I dont care which one gets moved just as long as one of them does. I got Wood ahead of both of them at this point. Not to mention Beachy needs a spot.

Other than a poster or two, there is no problem with Maholm. He's a solid #4 starter at an affordable cost. However, if Beachy is healthy and ready to go (and since we have three young pitchers in the minors that can probably be average right now) there is no need for Maholm and we can improve the bench (get a left handed bat, a shut down reliever, etc.)

Yep. We were looking for a Top of the Rotation guy last yr and we ended up with Meholm. Im still not trading my number 2 prospect for a guy that will never start a meaningful game. We needed a guy that could we felt confident could beat the better teams in the NL, not a guy that "ate innings"
