Not sure why Maholm gets such a hard time on here. He has 9 wins with an era under 4. Pretty good in my book.
Wood can do what Maholm is doing for potatoes and a song and dance.
Other than a poster or two, there is no problem with Maholm. He's a solid #4 starter at an affordable cost. However, if Beachy is healthy and ready to go (and since we have three young pitchers in the minors that can probably be average right now) there is no need for Maholm and we can improve the bench (get a left handed bat, a shut down reliever, etc.)
