Now that you mention those cases, I guess I'm thinking of a specific type of "drama-filled recruitment." I'm thinking more about guys who commit, then decommit, I might go here, I might go there, I committed but Signing Day comes and goes and I didn't sign anywhere, etc. Self-induced drama, I guess.

Zach Evans had that really weird recruitment where he did that and had a pretty good production at OM and got drafted. Wasn't a star though.

The more negative attributes that you bring to the table, the more positive ones you need to cancel them out.

If your talent/ability/whatever positives you bring to the table outweigh your baggage, you'll stay around, get second chances, etc.
