I’m willing to accept game to game variance

Tennessee’s season long numbers include the worst college football team in America and an FCS school.

OM DL is better than TNs by unbiased spectators. That makes OM defense better than TNs imo because TN back 7 was not, is not, and will not be good this season.

Tennessee was 3rd nationally in SP+ defense before today which takes strength of opponent into factor. It’s not perfect but it’s a pretty good indicator of your team overall

And yes, we didn’t get pressure on the QB and the LB’s/Safeties particular got exposed. Bobo called a great game and Beck played great. Great call and again glad you won some money but I don’t think it was insane to think Tennessee can slow down Georgia’s offense with how ineffective their run game is (which we shut down) and Beck’s propensity to turn the ball over. They had our number tonight, it happens.

My point is that Arkansas had their number, and Florida had their number, and so on. The defense of late is not the defense of early and there’s a lot of noise in the defense of early stats to begin with, imo.

We held Florida to 5 yards per play, 2 turnovers, 5/17 on third and fourth down and had 3 sacks. Our offense put us in a bind and I thought the defense outside the last drive more than held their own.

Looking at the Arkansas stats and they were worse I remembered.

Everyone except Georgia and Texas has a bad loss and a not bad loss in the SEC. Alabama lost to Vanderbilt. TAMU lost to South Carolina. Ole Miss lost to Kentucky. Tennessee lost to Arkansas.

Nobody except Oregon has a great resume this year. And Oregon barely held on against 5-4 Wisconsin just a couple hours ago.

I'm not saying this Tennessee team is great. I don't believe there are 12 better teams however.

This is would be my guess right now if Kansas holds on against BYU.

1. Ohio State 12-1
2. Alabama 11-2
3. Miami 12-1
4. Colorado 11-2

5. Oregon 12-1
6. Texas 11-2
7. Penn State 11-1
8. Notre Dame 11-1
9. Georgia 10-2
10. Ole Miss 10-2
11. Indiana 11-1
12. Boise State 12-1

The question would be can Tennessee get in over Ole Miss with the bad losses Ole Miss had or get in over Indiana who have 0 good wins.
