Over the past week or so, this team has proven they can kick a dead horse. Over the next week or so, they will have to prove they can win a close game.

We're beating crappy teams right now...UF is not a crappy team...They are the best team in the nation IMO...I'd rather be on the other side of the bracket to be honest.

Bingo. People complaining about level of competition are just angling for the negative. They are playing with a different purpose right now. That is the main point.

Nice to see them building leads and keeping them though.
Before,we were losing to the bottom feeders or playing them to the wire.

Wanna see us handle Missouri Saturday, this is our 1st 3 game winning streak in conference, so regardless of who it is that's a positive. The streak has to go to 5 games though which would be a season high, I'm not sure if our guys can stay focused that many games in a row, Saturday will be a good barometer.

That's probably a product of Moore getting big minutes in the 2nd half of blowouts. I'm guessing the vols were undefeated in games when Tyler summitt hit a 3.

True, however go back and look at all the comments here before those games about how they would choke and we'd lose.

A month ago, I didn't either. He was playing selfish basketball, and looking to pad his pro resume. His last 3 games are a different story. He is playing a team game right now, and I just hope it continues. We will have games when we need him to carry us, but with our inside presence, they should be few and far between.

Keep in mind, the 2 teams we just blew out are teams that we lost to in Nashville & beat in Knoxville by 11, so we are playing much better at the right time. I catch myself playing the what if game because if we had of played like this all year we would have swept Vandy swept A&M & beaten NCState & UTEP, but too late now. Let's just hope they keep playing like this & make the tourney & go far!

Yup. Those 2 teams we played may be bad, but to hold 2 conference opponents to a combined 92 points is impressive defense, which has been severely lacking.

I said when we inserted Barton this was my hope. You've got 3 seniors, and a junior in Stokes who's likely going pro. So you've got 4 guys, who this is it for, this is their final chance.

If that doesn't provide energy and a sense of urgency then nothing will. So far so good, let's hope it continues.

I hadn't seen anyone mention it so maybe it was my imagination but did the Vols play a 2-3 zone for at least one possession last night? Would have been in the 2nd half.

Yes they did. I thought I even saw a box and 1 at one time with McRae chasing his man, but that could have been a mixup.

Okay. Thanks. I was beginning to think I imagined it. As much as this board dissects the defenses Martin run I thought the 2-3 would have gotten some reaction even though it was only just a possession or 2.

Definitely did. 1-3-1 for a little while, and some 2-3, it's a cold day in hell today btw

Dump the 2-3. We looked passive and teams are going to hit that little 3 from the wing without a hand in their face. I think he was just looking at it since we had a lead. I don't like us in it.
