Is her posturing really surprising considering every serious presidential candidate in recent history does the same?

I vote no.

Does anyone really think she'll be nominated? Once the real candidates step up, silliness about Bachmann and Palin will go away, won't it?

I assume you mean Romney. I haven't seen anything about him in probably 30 days (other than short note that he had raised a lot more than Bachmann did in the last quarter). His campaign seems fairly quiet, but I can see that if he thinks he has the inside track on the nomination he should save the money for the general.

I don't think that Bachmman and Palin will stop getting attention until officially out of the race (or in Palin's case getting in and then getting out). They both are prone to say things that are either purposefully controversial or accidentally so.

Not that others don't do it, too. Just that those two have image in media of sort of dim-witted gaffe machines (Palin more so) and so everyone is kind of waiting for their next big mistake.

Probably not really fair. But they are dependable it seems in that regard.

No, that thread was about her leaving her old church six days before announcing her intentions to run for POTUS; the church that believes the Pope is the anti-christ....

This is a common refrain in the strip mall type churches down here. Have a friend whose wife went to such a church and for a long time there she was spewing all sorts of venom she had learned there about Catholocisim, since they "worship Mary" and the theory that it is idolatry.

Pretty fun conversations about that from time to time. She seems to have calmed down about it, though. Ever since she started going to a Catholic church.

There is a reason why you havent heard anything all summer, and its because all he has to do is show up in Nov 2012 and win

surprised it took LG this long to post this story. This has been the headline story on ABC News every day for the past week.

Sustained belief and faith have to be tempered by intelligent thought, although many on here believe those to be mutually exclusive, and not based on whacky fundamentalism.

Speaking of fund raising, if Obama can pull in 86 mil in like 3 weeks for his campaign, why can't he do something similar for the US? I know I know...

Look at Republican's recent history of nominating people to office. I'm terrified of the thought that she might win.

And who would that be other than Herman Cain.

I don't see anyone else on the horizon.

Pawlenty did come up with a good line about the
debt ceiling, he said; "Obama is like a manure spreader
in a wind storm.

Now if Bachman just had a sex change or abortion
clinic she would be cool with ACLG.

With the media playing games with the current crop...the later he can enter the race and still be viable...the better off he is.

and that's why he's keeping his jets cooled. I don't know if he can get the money in the shorter timeline, but it has to be the best way to go now.

as though the democrats recent history or nominating people has been awesome.

Kerry, Obama. nice, real nice

Is this supposed to change my stance on Bachman? I'm scared that in November of 2012 I'll have to choose between Bachman and Obama. Which means I'll throw away my vote on a 3rd party candidate. I really hope I'm wrong. The election is still a long ways away.
