The beauty of science

From I read, it doesn't seem to be completely denouncing the Big Bang. I can't claim to know a ton about physics, but they said either way the universe was once extremely hot and extremely small.

then that would align with what the Bible states, that the universe is always expanding.

I find it humorous that you would post about theories and scientific principles that you are so blatantly ignorant of. It's obvious that all you did was read the headline and from there, your thought process(being generous) was "checkmate, atheists!"

Stay in school, kids.

Actually I read it a few days ago. But great response on your part. I find know it all liberals funny and this discussion has been amusing

Look at his post again. He brought up religion. Not me

No I didnt. I said liberals would be upset. Which clearly they are. BTW the bible verse is "in the beginning, God created heaven and earth". No mention of the universe

Yahoo - your most trusted source in quantum theory and astrophysics!

I can get my celebrity gossip fix and the latest on the debate between quantum mechanics and the theory of relativity in the same place.

Question?

This has always been something I have trouble wrapping my brain around. If the universe isn't infinite, what is beyond it's borders? Or when describing the universe and it's beginning or size are we only talking about matter?

so wait they disproved the Big Bang Theory all based on the 'fact' that it wasn't a singularity? But it was still a tiny point of all stuff just bigger than a singularity? all they are proposing is the redefinition of some vocabulary.

As I stated earlier, it is all going to come down to a simple difference in understanding regarding space and time.

You do realize a catholic priest came up with the Big Bang theory. I find it humorous liberals like to point at that theory to prove that God isn't real.

Now that it's possible the universe is never ending and infinite (all things that sound familiar to people who read the bible), it's silence from the liberals.

You realize a lot of non-liberals agree with TBBT, right?

Multilarity....

It is weird that no matter what conflicting scientific hypotheses emerge, they always "fit with what the Bible said" after the fact when the scientific idea gains traction with the public. Then the generations of previous believers who vehemently read a different message in the text fade into the background and the present generation finally had it "revealed to them" correctly. Well, until the next scientific breakthrough. Must be magic.

I agree Howard is an idiot, Raj is a closet gay, Leonard is metro, Sheldon is hilarious, Bernadette is hot, Amy is not, and Penny was a knockout when the show started. Other than that I just watch it for the entertainment value.

Bernadette is hot. Leonard needs to hit the treadmill.

I didn't turn it into a liberal/conservative thing. I just pointed out that liberals wouldn't like it and judging the responses, they don't.

I'm willing to go out on a limb and say you won't find a single liberal here who "doesn't like it." It's a scientific idea, not a religion. You are misunderstanding responses to your posts as people disliking the idea, when they are actually disliking your ignorance.
