The best bacon brand?

PB and bacon is a good combo. Some places have burgers with PB on em, ive tried it before and liked it. Sonic has a PB and bacon shake, I never tried it but Yankee did and said it was good.

Yeah, but you love mayo and I can't stand it, so we even.

If you like pb though you should try it. I remember insisting I wouldn't like it.

I might give it a try sometime then. My problem with peanut butter is that it sticks to the roof of you mouth. It's like trying to eat a piece of white bread. It goes up there and won't come down.

I have seen hotdogs and sausage covered over the past few days but we need to decide on the most important breakfast item. What is the best store brand bacon you can buy? My vote is Wright brand bacon

Kind of like asking which of your children you love the most.

Benton's isn't really a "store brand," but it's the best and you can get it directly from them or at Mother Earth Meats. It is used by top chefs around the entire country.

Wright Brand and Fresh Market's Applewood bacon in the meat case are both very good too.

Didn't know they sold Benton's at Mother Earth Meats, good to know.

And crispy. And for a quick old school sammich
Toast, peanut butter, and bacon. Dad used to add lettuce tomato and mayo, but I just go toast, pb and bacon. Crunchy mofo.

I have never heard in my life of pb n bacon

I'm not seeing PB on my bacon in the near future.

I'll give this a try as I'm also in the hate mayo club.

Here's another trick - try peanut butter and tuna. Sounds weird but it's good and the peanut butter holds the tuna on the sandwich. It's a protein bomb.

Costco has a bacon called "Farmers Applewood Smoked". It's 18.99 for 4 pounds of thick cut bacon. It's awesome. If you can't tell yet in these threads, I love costco. Going there today actually.

When I go visit my parents in LC I always swing by Benton's and get some bacon. I use the trimming to grind into burgers and sausage.

Then go make yourself a pb and bacon on wheat toast. And peanut butter both sides with bacon broken into halves in the middle.
Then cut corner to corner.

I could see the bacon & pb concept. It's the salty & sweet combo thing. Like pouring nestle crunch bites into your popcorn.

It also minimizes bacon pullout when taking a bite. Nobody wants to look like a Dumbass while eating a sammich. Part of my entertainment is to get Firehouse to go, eat my chips, make a fancy drink and watch people look like jackasses eating sammiches.

So you take the sandwich home later and closet eat it?

I see trichinosis in yore future.

Trichinosis is eradicated in domestic pigs in the US. Most people getting it in the US now come from people eating bear meat.

Side note: If you're cooking all the pink out of your pork tenderloin you're overcooking it.

I've taken tastes of raw bacon all my life with no problems. It's weird, but I still do it when cooking bacon.
