For as much bragging as I've had to listen to in the off season, these yahoos from the B1G don't seem to have much bite to back up their bark.

Penn State lost to Temple for the first time in 74 years!

Marshall beat a B1G team (Purdue) for the first time ever!

Michigan State struggled to beat the powerhouse Western Michigan.

Nebraska lost to mighty BYU.

Michigan lost to mighty Utah.

Wisconsin was beaten by 18 points by Alabama.

Yeah, Ohio State may be pretty good, but when the rest of the conference sucks and can't win an out of conference game it doesn't say much does it?

Kind of wish Hart would have scheduled a Big 10 team instead of Georgia Tech -- that GT triple option is going to be very difficult to stop compared to a slow Big 10 team.

All fantastic points.

The great thing is I only care about whether one team wins or loses. I graduated from The Ohio State University.

2 National titles since 2000. High profile bowl wins (and losses). I get it there are fans that have to latch on to other schools successes. SEC has been great though the last 15 years. No doubt.

Pac-12 is in the same boat. For all that talk about them being deeper than everyone else they did awful in week 1.

It's not so much conference pride as it is who you play to get there. If you have to walk down hill to the destination it's not near as hard as climbing a mountain to get there.

You left out one coach tossed for cheating. That might be important. And yes impermissible benefits is cheating.

What exactly did the SEC winning seven straight championships do for UT? I have yet to see a "SEC pride" fan adequately answer this question.

It's regionalism and jealousy, nothing more. Living vicariously through other programs does nothing for UT, but it sure gives convenient excuses for all those times we got destroyed.

so I guess according to your way of thinking we would be just as well off in the sunbelt conference .. right ?

I guess all the money we (UT) get from the conference and the SEC network is nothing ..... right ?

some people can be so dumb I wonder how they remember to breathe.

Gotcha. I know me and my B1G buddies always talk about how much money the school gets from the B1G Network and the fact that almost all of the members are part of the AAU (look it up).

I know the celebration we had in Columbus in January the residents of Knoxville had 7 straight years. Ho Hum in your neck of the woods. It was a big deal here though.

Do you talk about a decade of your success was wiped out by one coach? Or maybe how the president of your university made you laughing stocks when said "I hope he doesn't fire me?" Or do you high five each other when you talk about how you are on a non conference teams message board talking crap? And then do you high five again when they say dude find something else to do?

A decade of success was wiped out by one coach? In your eyes? They took away all the wins? Are you confusing us with Penn State?

I am not talking crap. You seem sensitive. This board is pretty awesome. I plan to stick around till Georgia week, and then I may bounce though. We shall see.

When your coach has the FBI investigating him and his program everything gets called into question. You dodged my other questions . I am not sensitive at all. Congrats on last year. Hell I stood up for your coach earlier in this thread. You need to learn decorum when on another teams site. You are a visitor. I enjoy many of the visitors here.

Can anyone explain why Ohio State decided they had to put "The" in front of their name?

Other than being annoying, is there another Ohio State out there that was being confused with the Buckeyes?

Sad life I see. I don't even mind a little crap talk. I have never posted on another teams board. Did you get kicked of yours? Or they aren't smart enough to create one as good as ours? Or you have no life and visit a bunch of other conference websites? I mean it's kinda of curious behavior. Why would a big ten guy be posting on an sec team website. Even more so as often as you do. Kind of embarrassing for you to be honest.
