Vols need win vs. Missouri today then win at least 1 game in the SEC tourney. Win two in SEC tourney and they are definitely in!

No one will ever know, but I had Dooley out before the Missouri game. Just too much going wrong. I wanted them to win but knew it sealed his fate when they lost. I agree that Dooley and Martin aren't quite comparable because I believe Dooley coached us in the worst 3 year stretch in school history. But I understand why people say it.

I thought Dooley had long proven he couldn't get it done before the Mizzou collapse, but I still believe had he beaten Mizzou or rebounded and somehow beat Vanderbilt, he would have kept his job. There was just way too much strong rumor/talk going around that Hart wanted Dooley to work and a bowl game would have saved his job.

At this point we have enough, and with today's game and the SECT there's opportunity for more. Would rather other bubble teams fall.

Emotions will run high if we lose get ready for a dozen Bruce Pearl threads and numerous Coaches we should hire threads. If we win just a peaceful Saturday night. I hope for the latter.

Everybody knows the SEC is weak, and that will work against us come selection time, especially with only, what, 1 good win all year. And who would have thought that would be Virginia, of all teams. Had we beaten kentucky or florida, we'd be ok--but we didn't. Va. Tech was on the bubble four straight years--and was not picked four straight years, and then they fired their coach, who is a better coach than Martin, IMO.

I would be happy with him as our coach for sure

He's coached longer, but Greenberg looks no better than Martin. Of course a lot of UT fans would've had petitions out on him to in his first 3 years if they would've looked like his first 3 at VT. Martin's done a better job his first three at UT.

Cuonzo gets 1 more year.

Lose and the Vols would have to win the SEC tournament, which seems unlikely.

Cuonzo is fired.

Gone. Kaput. Just like Dooley.

This game determines Cuonzo's tenure at Tennessee.

It's a shame some people want him to fail.
