Jon Morosi just said the Braves were eyeing Machado..... I know he would cost a lot, but lets do it. He would prob sign long term with us, because he could play with our young talent and have a chance to win a ring or two.... He also said we are working on getting controllable relif pitching

Had five straight top five CYA finishes. Really good ERA for 8 years. Was the best left handed pitcher in baseball for 4-5 years. I also would think so.

Would rather look at Machado in free agency. I’ll be gorilla goat snake pissed if we give up a bunch of prospects for him as a rental.

I’d only do it if there is an injury. Focus on the bullpen or a frontline, controllable starter. Offense is good, especially if Ender or Dansby starts getting hot

There is no guarantee on prospects. You know what you are getting with Machado. As long as Albies and Acuna are not included, I'd give them what they want within reason

Me too, but only if I believed I could re-sign him long-term. I wouldn't mortgage a large part of the future for half a season in a year we shouldn't be competing in to begin with. We are playing with house money at this point in the season. Any trade should be for high end controllable players, or players you are confident you can re-sign.

You’re also assuming Machado is cool with playing third, which could be a problem
