The Braves Thread

Interesting, I used the twitterv to eliminate the link showing up under the tweet itself (always found that to be pretty redundant) but didn't know it screwed with it on mobile.

twitterv doesn't really work anymore, at least not correctly. Twitter disabled embedding only the video like that.

Yeah, I knew just the video embed didn't work anymore but I discovered that it did eliminate the link like I mentioned above. I'm sure nobody but me actually cares(d) about that but I liked eliminating that redundancy. My OCD manifests itself in very weird ways.

Braves regulars in July

Flowers .174/.269/.261

Bowman tweeted these numbers out. Hopefully the all Star break helps turn things around. Swanson has had a better month than I would've guessed.

Swanson had his best week since April before the break. He’s still K’ing but he seems to be doing a better job laying off speed and taking the ball up the middle/other way

Walk rate is rough but yeah - it’s weird

He’s almost always outpitched his FIP so not crazy but he’s been so weird. He’s got a 3.50 ERA in his last 16 starts. That’s #3 territory. Just need more consistency

3.50 ERA would rank 13th in the league. Little bit better than a #3. His full season 4.00 is good for 22. Quick math makes him a mid tier #2. People can stop jizzin about all these available 30+ HR sub 2.5 ERA guys

Yeah and since he came off the DL he’s had one bad start against Baltimore (his Yankee numbers aren’t good but I’m not really worried about that honestly. He struck out 10 and I thought had good stuff). Right now hed be the game 2 starter with Newks struggles. I still want a Thor or deGrom or Martinez type guy for a postseason run but I still want Julio starting.
