It’s good to know that Tehran and another SP could be a bullpen guys IF the playoffs happen. I would like to have 4 SP I have confidence in, but if it doesn’t happen than we can utilize Fried, Soroka and Gohara hopefully and I think Freeman and Moylan will just slowly get pushed out. I don’t think either will be moved, I just think they won’t last past the end of the 40 man roster. Especially if any of the young prospects are ready any time this season or next.

And if Gohara can pitch like did yesterday sitting 94, he could be of use.

This seems silly but my only concern with Touki in the pen is he might be so good when he gets there he never leaves (like Neftali Feliz or Hader). He can hit 99 in spurts and with that curveball he will be awesome.

I’m also still waiting for the Anibal wheels to fall off but he continues to be good.

If we trade Wright it better be in a package for degrom (or on someone on par) because his future is a bigger upside IMO than a few months rent or for a few months plus just next season.

Who are they going to drop from the 40 man roster to pick up his contract? I assume they’ll do it tomorrow in order to facilitate a trade to clear some room. Maybe Gohara?

They have one more open spot but my guess is Luke Jackson gets a DFA

They are saying you don’t promote a guy to replace a guy that is spot starting. It likely means he takes Touki’s spot

To reiterate Brown’s point, he’s not even throwing yet. I’ll be shocked if he makes pitches in a game this year. He’s 20, you’re not lacking arms in terms of quantity. No point in even taking that chance.

Allard gets spot start. Jackson gets DFA

Touki gets promoted after Allard sent down after spot start.

Wright takes Touki’s spot in the rotation.

That’s basically what will happen.
