Jesus you have the weirdest affinity for OPS+

It’s amazing, never seen anything like it. It’s like the only statistic you look at.

The league average is 100, he is 110. Excuse me if I am not blown away.

He has a career .780 OPS. He has a 111 wRC+ this season. He has a .337 wOBA. I can slice it anyways you like, but’s he is an everyday third baseman and a solid one at that.

In fairness, it measures the two most important things you can do in the batters box.

Bro, we want more than solid. We need more than solid. Camargo is solid all day long at a lot of positions. But he can’t be our future at third. Just can’t be. And I promise you AA knows that. I’ve always maintained that he should be our 3rd baseman this year, go back to the day we signed Odor’s B itch. And the pain in the ass about this argument is that I love him, and have from day one. But i stand by him settling in as super utility when all the smoke clears.

I don’t argue with that sentiment in the sense where we use Johan like he is Infante 2010. That would be great. But where we gonna get that upgrade? I would love to get an Arenado or a Bregman or a Chapman but those guys are rarely available.

It’s possible. AA is gonna have some tough decisions. Go upgrade if there is a chance? Give Riley everyday PA’s and see if he’s better than Johan? That seems unfair with how Johan is playing. I honestly think we could see Riley get some playing in the OF going forward with Nick leaving next year
