I think Nashville gets one in the next 10 to 20. Would be weird to switch but I’d have no choice. My only gripe as a Braves fan is it’s in Georgia lol.
Question for you and everyone else, if Nashville gets a MLB team would you switch?
Would take a year or two but I believe I would have to.
Same ? to Brown but swap Nashville with Memphis.
Your hypothetical is different because you're talking about a scenario where a team actually came to your home city vs. one that is just somewhat close by but people I knew actually thought it might be difficult for me to stay a Braves fan when the Expos became the Nationals because it's only a few hours away from us and I'm already (unfortunately) a fan of the football team there. That is tough but I would not. Everyone in Memphis was a Magic fan because Penny. I had no NBA team so Grizzlies was very easy. I love baseball but I do not go to Redbirds games even though the park is amazing because cardinals are the devil.
No one asked youThere are some things that can't/won't change. Yankees, Vols, and Redskins (as much as I've wanted to)
Growing up in NY, my 1st sporting event was a Yankees game in '96. Being born in TN and going back there every summer and listening to Pa and my uncle talk about the Vols got me hooked. I was a casual Rangers and Knicks fan before the Preds and Grizz came about, but living down south shortly after their existence made it easy to switch.
I'd pull for the Nashville team if/when they get one, like I do with the Titans, but I don't think I could ever actually change allegiances.
