The Braves Thread

I hope they can commit to it. Unfortunately, this kind of thing can’t be mandated to success.

I'm hoping so too. We had such a good talk last night. He broke down and was able to admit he does have an addiction. And that he's wanting the help not only for himself but for the girls as well. He said he knows it's not going to be easy.

I told him this was the first major huddle he crossed. Being able to admit all of these things

Guys, I’m really sorry to inject this into this thread, but since I brought it up the other day, I feel like I should let you know. My Dad died Monday morning. Things got bad over the weekend and he declined super fast. 3 weeks from diagnosis to the end.

I am very sorry buddy. There are no silver linings but at least he didn’t have to suffer through chemo hell I suppose. Prayers for your family.

Praying for your family. It’s certainly difficult but as scotty said, sometimes better to not endure the endless rounds of chemo.

Similar circumstances for us over this weekend. As some of you know, my uncle has been battling pretty advanced cancer for a couple of years. A few weeks ago they ended treatment and started the hospice process. From Friday to Monday he went from being able to do everything he normally would to needing assistance with everything and mostly unable to speak. Lost at least 30 lbs.

He has lived with my parents since diagnosis so it’s especially tough on my mother. He is the youngest of 8 siblings. If you could remember them in your prayers as well as we approach the end.

Prayers and blessings to you and your family. I thought something might be up when you weren’t here during the Monday game and all day Tuesday. Peace my friend

Best of luck to your uncle and make your Mom a priority, as if she isn’t already
