I don’t think we should lose sight of the fact that he just turned 22 and essentially came from A ball. Guys played 200 games above HS. Just because he isn’t the starting shortstop on a WS contender doesn’t mean his “star” has diminished

Exactly. My other concern is the defensive struggles affect his confidence when I think dude has an AS level bat. The organization since AA took over has done really well with the young guys and their development so I trust them. Just want him to succeed.

Correct, just think they maybe over estimated him being ready with Dansby moving on factoring in. We shall see, he seems like a good kid and has plenty of time for sure.

Yeah idk man. They had to have known there was a 0% chance Dansby was taking that deal and not having a backup plan is wild to me but I’m willing to let it play out. More heated about the Murphy trade. AA gave up all banked cache for me tho

Murphy is a stud. But giving up Willy to Milwaukee because Oakland wanted a fringe top 100 guy with no pop to make it work still seems weird in hindsight.
