I’m not arguing with you, but Ohtani was there. Urias was there. I think that sets a precedent that “hey, these guys went and it was great”. I don’t follow soccer that closely, but I don’t think the Premier League clubs forbid their best players from participating in the World Cup. Maybe they do and I’m not aware, but that’s essentially what MLB clubs did.Teams prevented the top shelf pitchers from going this go round. I don’t know how you change that in the future and I don’t blame them.
I think there’s typically a break in the EPL season (possibly even the off-season) for when the World Cup takes place. Soccer players also don’t get injured at the same rate as major league pitchers.I’m not arguing with you, but Ohtani was there. Urias was there. Psycho Scherzer for sure would come out, dude would probably fight half the hitters he faced.Every arm has its breaking point. Even if it’s 15 innings that’s extra strain. I think the hard part is the ramp up. Scherzer can cruise at 92 in spring training just to build his arm up. He’s gonna try and throw 98 in a WBC game.
That's a beautiful site seeing Soroka in a lineup
