Pardon my incursion into your thread, but I gots an MiLB general question.

Was at a AAA game tonight and watched a guy take a called 3rd strike.
He then turned around and appealed the call. lol wut?

The whole stadium, and the umpire, turned and watched the replay on the Jumbotron - which indicated the pitch was outside.

Called 3rd strike… reversed.

Was this new rule known to y’all? Thoughts?

They have been testing challenges in the minors just like the pitch clock and other rules implemented

I knew they had been testing new rules in the minors, like the pitch clock and pick off rules.

I had no idea they had introduced challenging balls and strikes via video replay.

One guy turned around and challenged a called strike in 1-1 count. Think I counted 4 different guys challenging. Took maybe 10 seconds each time. 🤷‍♀️
