Given those parameters, I take Newk with confidence in our lineup to get 3 runs. Try and take the game out of the bullpen's hands.

If I am picking a pitcher to start that game in a vacuum, give me the best strikeout pitcher though, and that's Folty (10.82 K/9). Of course, matchups could determine my ultimate choice since Folty is a righty and Newk a lefty.

I'm setting up the rotation so Newk can start and first guy out of the bullpen is Folty.

I've been driving on the Folty train since last season so I'm going to have to stick with my ace... But that is a real tough one.

Snit would probably go with Mccarthy. He would say he wanted an experienced veteran with playoff experience.

Sounds crazy, but I wouldn't put it past him

Newk to Folty is ideal but I don’t see a scenario where we are too far from winning the division but still far enough ahead in the WC to align your rotation that way and also give up on one of them starting G1 of the following series.

With our bullpen I do not want Folty in a one game situation because the leash has to be so short.

I'll take Newcomb. He's been the most reliably consistent this season. I gotta say that it's nice just to be having this conversation, and to have legitimate options to discuss.

Newk for a WC card game, but base it on matchups too. If there are a bunch of right handers then I’m fine with Folty.

The more pressing concern to me is if we do win the division who goes game 3 and game 4. See Max with such a good outing is so important.
