Branch and Jefferson would be nice additions to the wide receiver room for the 2025 season.

So, AP said at some point last night, the coaches didn't expect to need so many WR which is why we didn't go after some of the other guys. It sounds like some of the guys who left weren't part of some plan all along.

Look, in the transfer portal era, you can’t always try and just point a finger at the position coach and think a new one fixes it. But with how bad the position has been the last two years and the amount of unrest, I’m not sure why Pope should be on staff

Apparently Jefferson is seen as the “depth piece” and they’re still swinging for a true WR1/WR2 alongside Mike. I don’t know if they even get Branch in for a visit but they’re working.

I think they’ll have another splash guy regardless. I also think Jefferson works his way in. Wanted him in the boat pretty badly out of HS

There's a chance what happened with our secondary this year happens with our WRs next year.

I do think there was likely something amiss in the WR room since MM considered leaving, but all of those others who have left did absolutely nothing on the field and wasn't worth losing a bit of sleep over.

I want Jefferson to be great because he's from Chattanooga and I like that he plays football and basketball, but that is disconcerting that he didn't even see the field a single time at Alabama this year. Not even against a creampuff. I saw him on the sidelines during a couple of their games and he wasn't even in pads. It isn't like Alabama was super deep at WR.

Staley was a top 80 recruit and had 3 catches as well. Coaches do weird sh!t

Just look at their stats. They used like 3 WRs all year, and threw to backs and TEs. He will be fine

It makes sense based on academics if nothing else. Lots of students have to stick around for an extra semester to fulfill requirements.
