Jomboy Media has a “worst era draft” where you draft pitchers in a year with the most earned runs given up (not era, total earned runs) so I looked up Jo-Jo Reyes as a Brave as my answer in my head and I almost fell down the stairs when I saw he pitched MLB innings in 2016

I saw him pitching for New Orleans Zephyrs in Memphis around this time and had to do a quadruple take

@TBrown checked to see if Effectively Wild podcast got rid of the chick yet and they haven’t :(. Gave a team preview 20 minutes and couldn’t do it. Her voice makes me want to take my ears off permanently

Meg Rowley. The previews can be a bit dull, IMO, but not due to her or Ben.

Managing editor of a website you clearly value and use frequently... "the chick."

Don't have to run and join the patron but surely you better than that, Z.

I know who she is and her name, and the site overall is excellent. But Brown and I had a discussion about it last year and I was pretty sure he wasn’t gonna remember her name lol.

I actually liked the previews before she joined the podcast when it was Ben and Jeff, I don’t mind the “dull” of it, but I just don’t think she has a good podcast personality at all.

Also she clearly knows her stuff about baseball. Again, I just have a hard time dealing with her voice and she has a somewhat annoying personality (which is the same exact reasons I don’t listen to Chris Vernon, who is very knowledgeable about basketball)

I don’t like her “on air” persona which would be easily offset by her baseball knowledge


Except for the fact that I cannot stand the sound of her voice. I’m not sure what level of importance her audio content would have to contain for me to withstand listening to her but ‘things I already know about baseball’ certainly isn’t close to the threshold.
