yeah, but after undergoing tommy john, we won't see him in uniform until next year. Any clue what two players to be named later the reds are interested in? or has then even been looked into?
one has been named. it was Marcus McBeth. Other one i dont know who it is but they have talked about how both were near major league ready.

i was listing him with the 1/2 that was injured:)

:eek:k: but i at least expect the ones listed to make brief appearances throughout the year before going back on the DL.

btw, does anyone else think it's crazy to trade for someone who has just had tommy john surgery besides me?

didn't realize that. I know we still have plenty of pitching prospects in the minors supposedly. never seen any of them in action though.

Its kind of Crazy but its not like hes a pitcher of anything. Deno is a very solid player and you should be pretty happy, long as the surgery went ok, once he is ready to play.

i hope so. he was more a pick for the future than anything else. As their extended stints on the DL have shown, Kotsay and Kielty aren't going to be in MLB much longer.

Perez dominates in win for the Mets, Brew Crew drops the series 2 games to 1. 4 game stint against the Phillies starting today, then Minnesota. Could be a long week.

bullpen allows huge 8th inning and the phils take game one. if anyone wants back in the central division hunt, start winning.

Were ya not alive in 1979 or 1971?

I was only 3 in 71 and still in England going to soccer games, moved here in 78 and didn't follow baseball, didn't know baseball, learnin about american football then. I guess what I'm tryin to say is I would like to see the Pirates win while I'm still in the Burgh so I could be part of it.

hamels takes no no into the 7th in Phils win. brewers must win Game 4 of the series tomorrow to avoid being swept. 1-5 since last leaving the friendly confines of NL Central play.

on a side note, Phillies now .500

brewers avoid sweep by Philly, win 3-2. 2-5 now on stretch. Back to Milwaukee to face the Twins.

In honor of volfanbill...

The Brewers are riding a 6 game losing streak before tonight's game and have lost 12 out of 15. They still lead the division by 5 games.

back for a few days.. just wanted to say one thing is for certain. the brewers are awful and i mean pathetic. however, the nl central is worse than some AAA teams.

all that being said, today I was fortunate enough to get to sit in the brewers dugout and i have my picture taken as if i was making a call to the bullpen. I also got a picture of me in the batter's box at Miller Park (of course, I was in full stance). The brew crew wasn't in town, but definitely cool

Ben Sheets making his bi-monthly visit to the DL... now would be the time for the Cubs, Cardinals, or anyone else to make a run at the Brewers over the next month or so.
